| The Meta Plot is the over-arching plot that will be the primary driving force of the game (side plots and character-driven plot not withstanding). This page will keep an updated summary of what has happened with the Meta Plot as the game progresses. This page is for Player Information and not necessarily a summary of what characters know in game. ✦ Just prior to the start of the game the Owmi fleet stopped at an unpopulated system to address some civil unrest and rebuild their stores. When they dropped out of hyperspace, the unexpected happened. The moment they reverted to real-space the Orakalla flared to life as it had not done in over a thousand years. With its light shining blinding and painful, it spoke, its words echoing in the hearts of every Owmi, "Here. Here. Here. Here- over and over, and then, following a pause, They are coming." After which, the Orakalla fell silent once again, its light dimming to something more easy to look at. This caused quite the stir among the Owmi, many assuming this meant they were about to be reunited with the people they’d been searching for. However, that is not what happened. While the Owmi were looking at their ships’ instruments and through their viewports for any sign of the Ibere, the arrival of the prophesied “them” was taking place in the heart of the Sacred Keep of the Temple Ship, home of the Orakalla. It took a moment for the news to travel from the Temple Ship to all the other vessels of the fleet. And the news was this: there were strange people appearing as if out of nowhere in the keep of the Orakalla. Strange people who were clearly not Ibere, strange people from another world, or galaxy, or a different universe altogether. Three rounds of Ejirin (as the Owmi called them - it means Outsider or Guest) arrived and departed, each group lasting longer than the last. But the fourth group has had the most sticking power. Many from that group are still with the fleet even now. ✦ March 13, 2016 Baj E'oku Prime Part One: Exploration and Study It began with High Priest Ijo's deliberate misreading of the daily omen readings. The first day the omens presented zir with the reading, ze ignored the true reading. The next day the omens presented the same reading, zir was unerved, but se still ignored the true reading - though this time ze sought out the Owmi leadership to discuss the reading. The third day, and the same omen reading, Ijo was distraught and before ze could even try to ignore the reading, the Orakalla spoke loud and in the hearts of everyone who had a set of garas. "Tell them!" the Orakalla said, angry and demanding. High Priest Ijo could not ignore the reading any longer, and this day ze gave the correct reading: the Ejirin were to be included in the research efforts down on the planet Baj E'oku Prime. Later that same day, as odd as a command from the Orakalla as it was, it was announced that the Ejirin would begin participating in the research down on the planet, Baj E'oku Prime. The Ejirin did their part - perhap some did it only for the change of scenery, perhaps some did it because they wanted to help. But they did their part, and it was soon apparent that this section of the planet was very interesting, as the Ejirin made some startling discoveries: garas and ship parts - none of which were Owmi. These discoveries sparked all kinds of unrest in the Owmi fleet.. ✦ May 16, 2016 Baj E'oku Prime Part Two: Discovery in the Caves The exploration and study of the planet of Baj E'oku Prime started pushing into the caves of the surrounding area. The Ejirin were gathered for an expedition into a certain set of caves.They were divided into team to explore three different caves. Each team encountered interesting crystals growing on the walls. Ejirin found themselves drawn towards crystals possing the same colors as their own garas. Samples were taken and after a while the teams moved one. Shortly after encountering the crystals, an earthquake struck, which had the unfortunate luck of waking up giant cave spiders, which set upon the Ejirin and their Owmi researcher guides. Once the spiders were dispached, the Ejirin could explore the caves they'd run to during the quake, and they discovered some amazing things. In one cave, the Ejirin found a old shuttle. When they were able to get it opened, a holographic recording started to play - the individual in the recording looked Owmi-ish, but the man wasn't Owmi, he was Afee. In another cave, the Ejirin found 37 stasis pods, only 4 of which contained survivors. These 4 individuals were Afee who'd crash landed on the planet some time before. One of the survivors was the man in the holographic recording in the shuttle. In the final cave, the Ejirin found an Orakalla shard - a broken piece of an Orakalla. The walls of this cave were covered with the same crystals the Ejirin had encountered earlier. It was announced that the Afee survivors would be housed with the Ejirin. The Orakalla Shard was moved to the Sacred Keep of the Temple Ship. ✦ June, 2016 Now that the Orakalla Shard that was found on Baj E'oku Prime is being housed on the Temple Ship, crystals are growing on the walls of the Sacred Keep. ✦ August, 2016 Compelled by the Truth Plot the Owmi Ehin Gudura revealed that ze had encountered crystals like the ones now growing on the walls of the Sacred Keep some years before - but growing on the walls of a corridor of the Temple Ship. When ze tried to discover more about the crystals, they were gone, and no one knew what ze what taking about. Also compelled by the the Afee Gewn Ebic revealed a number of things. One, that he and the other Afee who'd crashed on Baj E'oku Prime were members of a group called the Ciumgni, a group dedicated to the finding of, and the protection of, these Orakalla shards - and the one on the planet Baj E'oku Prime was just the latest one that was found. He also revealed that they crashed 500 years ago according the the Owmi calendar. He was about to reveal information about the crystals when someone interrupted his communication and shut it off. ✦ DATE TITLE WHAT HAPPENED - WHAT IS REVEALED |
