As for the 'meta powers' thing, my OC has quite a couple of them, is this the correct place to enquire about their tiers/whether they are going to be fully locked? if not, where should I go?

You can ask that here. All meta powers are fully locked (or zero-ed, which ever terminology you use) upon arrival, but they can be re-acquired gradually with the spending of points.

I've read the points page, yeah - what I'm concerned about is that she's practically hooked up to a star at maximum level, so her tiers (per tier) will be significantly larger than a player with a character who has very simple powers. How will that be handled?

The re-acquisition of a character's powers are contingent only on time and the points a player has to spend, they won't be limited relative to the abilities or potential abilities of the characters in game.

I have another question, will biological implants with no 'meta powers' but are not life sustaining be taken upon arrival?

it's a nerve implant in the back of the character's neck. it's designed to deliver a neurotoxin into her brain stem and kill her should she overuse her abilities (a limiter). however, since her powers will be taken away upon arrival, they won't have a chance to activate until she regains them o/

I would like it to be kept so that it has a chance to activate later on in the game if the situation calls for it.

**Game Update** - I've realized that the reacquisition of powers process wasn't very flexible for every character.

Under the old system, characters with a singular, straight forward ability would have been forced to pay the same point value over time that a character with very complex and vast powers would have to pay, even though the abilities of the two characters are not comparable.

So I’ve changed the system to accommodate both complex powers and simple powers. Changes can be found on the Rules Page, FAQ Page, Points Page.

Will this affect your character? Not much, because of the vast powers you've described, they would still use the complex power reacquisition option. However, this is more to keep you informed of the change, and a heads up for any future characters you wish to app.

Sorry, I'm back again! Maybe it'd be easier if the 'sample apps' section was removed from the apps page? one has to scroll down a lot to reach the current page and the samples don't carry filled characterization or stuff that could be used more as a reference.
